Dr. Melanie A. Kim-Park
Endodontist in Murfreesboro, TN
Virginia is a different world from South Korea, especially for a Korean-only speaking five-year old; but with the help of Snoopy, Mickey Mouse and an early passion for music, high-spirited Melanie took the challenges of a new life with excitement.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Pre-Dental Studies from the University of Virginia in 1993 and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from the Medical College of Virginia in 1997. Upon graduation, she was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army Dental Corps and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (A.E.G.D.). She then served as the Brigade Dental Surgeon for 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, Ft. Campbell, KY until 2000. Having always loved the specialty of endodontics, she returned to Virginia once again to complete her residency in Endodontics and Masters of Science (M.S).
Dr. Park and her husband, a commercial investor and developer, were drawn back to the Nashville area for its music and southern hospitality and have made it their home since 2002. Together, with their son, they are actively involved with their church, music, and missions work – both local and abroad. In her free time, she loves to play the piano and flute and secretly dreams about being a professional musician when she grows up.
Around the office it is easy to feel a part of our family. Dr. Park’s vision is to care for her patients as if she were treating her own family and friends – with gentleness, empathy, and kindness. It may be possible to even catch a glimpse of those fun, childhood influences on Dr. Park’s socks!
